1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
Alan makes me laugh daily, and date nights are no exception. Now that we are empty nesters, our new favorite activity in our tiny town of 300 people, is trivia night at a local small business. It's a team effort answering the most random questions, and we usually spend the entire evening laughing - especially at our wrong guesses. If you haven't done Trivia Night, I highly recommend it for a good laugh!
2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
The two most important things in my kitchen are:
1) My husband because he does 99% of the cooking. (Hey, there are perks to having your hubby's next book be a cookbook, and he has to try out delicious recipes with you).
2) Our water filter. Boring, but true - I love drinking water (and not much else).
3.What do you love to cook and why?
People assume that I'm glam all the time. Yes, I love expressing creativity through fabulous fashion, but my style is simple and classic - even on days when I'm not dressed up.
4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
Have you ever been a girl scout leader to over TWENTY adorable, little first graders trying to earn a badge? It's like herding cats. As a business owner, I can tell you with 100% certainty that it's harder, and requires more leadership skills than building multiple companies. God bless little girls!
5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
One time I was offered a small role in a scary Christmas movie. But I hate scary movies so I refused to be in it. I don't regret turning it down. However, it's the only direct booking that I questioned if I should have faced my fear and just gone for it. Perhaps having that behind-the-scenes perspective would have made scary movies seem less scary?
