1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
On our second date, we ended up talking about what we’d want our wedding to be like. This included ideas like banana cream pie instead of cake and a cake shaped piñata. Zach even had the thought to ask me to marry him right then (spoiler: he didn’t, but we DID have those things at our wedding!) We still laugh about how natural that all felt and that it didn’t scare either of us off!

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
Our portable speaker provides us with the best kitchen dance parties. On most days you’ll find us jamming to Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” (yes, my kiddos know who Dolly is). With two littles in the house, the washable, heavy-duty mats that we place under their chairs at the table are a life saver. It makes clean up a breeze.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
Growing up I participated in choir and band, so typically people assume that my preferred music to listen to is more of a classical style. While I have an eclectic taste for music, I really love rap. In fact, Eminem is one of my very favorite artists. It’s always fun to see the look on people’s faces when they find out that I listen to rap.

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I have taken the initiative on numerous occasions to organize a meal train; a way to coordinate family and friends to deliver meals, to families with a new child. This involves identifying people who can participate, delegating the responsibility of providing and delivering meals on specific days and times, and helping families in need. Having meals delivered, especially postpartum, relieves a major stressor to new mothers and their families.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
Running for public office. I have great ideas and truly believe that I would make a difference, but the fear of jumping into an unknown realm is, well, scary.
